Johann Sebastian Bach

Bach is known best for his mastery of harmonic technique. He was cantor at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig Germany. Bach was a composer, organist, choirmaster, and teacher. This variety of every aspect of music contributed in the composing of such works as The Well Tempered Clavier, to the ST.Matthew Passion.

Bach came from a family of musicians, both parents were musicians for the king and queen. Born in Germany in 1685, died in 1750, he lived a long and privliged life.
